The locals
The community fully supports the event by volunteering, donating and organising Carrot Carnival. Service, charity and education organisations are directly involved, as are retailers and members of the forestry, agriculture and tourism industries.

Tourists and Skiing Visitors
Ohakune is the largest and most popular ski destination on the North Island and Carrot Carnival is held in the busy spring ski season. Usually packed with holidaymakers and skiers, the Ohakune Carrot Carnival offers a secondary activity for national and international tourists who either book specially to attend
or extend their stay to include Carnival Day. Our national and international visitors tend to be affluent, active and well travelled, looking for exciting new adventures to add to their list of 'we did this in NZ'.........

We even have Carrot Carnival groupies!
So many clubs and groups are making Carrot Carnival part of their annual calendar. From the Mobile Homes club to the Rivercity Custom Van Club and Wanganui Garden Club all our regular visitors make for an exciting mix on the day.

A full trainload of steam train enthusiasts from Auckland booked their train trip to coincide with Carrot Carnival in previous years.
This year we have members from the British Carrot Museum planning to visit and check us out.

Stalls, Stalls and more Stalls
There's something for everyone at The Ohakune Carrot Carnival as the streets are bursting with stalls and activity. Event organisers spend many months scouring the country to invite exciting, vibrant wares to join in the fun of Carnival Day.
From the delicious local food, to wool and alpacha knitwear, from music and instruments from South America to Punga carved and mosaic gardenwares you are assured some great finds.

Every sponsor is allocated stall space which can be used to sell product or for promotional banners, flyers etc. In past years raffles or spot prizes have been offered to Carnival goers and have become excellent opportunities for sponsors to get their product or service noticed.
